Hellsing - Kouta Hirano.
In Cheddars,England, people started to disappear since a new priest came to town. When the police discovered about it, an elite troop was sent to investigate the case, but in that night, everyone in that city has died. The dead townsfolk awakened as ghouls and attacked the agents. Except for Ceras Victoria, a Rookie member of the police, everyone died and became ghouls and Victoria was desolated. The priest, that was a vampire, made all those ghouls, and was willing to make Ceras a vampire like him, because she was pretty and virgin. But then...
The Hellsing Organization, a secret governamental agency that deal with the occult, sent their best agent, Alucard, another vampire, to investigate. Alucard had no trouble dealing with the ghouls with his bare hands, and then found the priest, holding Victoria as Human Shield. The priest ordered the police agents, now ghouls, to destroy Alucard, but even if his body was completely destroyed, he wasn´t defeated and regenerated his body. Using his "Hellsing ARMS .454 Casull Auto", an enormous gun, he obliterated all ghouls. The priest, threatened, put Victoria in front of his body to protect himself. Alucard asks Victoria if she want to live. She said yes and then he shoot through her lungs a silver bullet, that obliterated the corrupt priest. She was lying almost dead on the ground and he made Victoria a vampire like him, and an agent of The Hellsing corp.

Who is Kouta Hirano?
Kouta Hirano (平野 耕太, Hirano Kōta?, born July 14, 1973) is a Japanese mangaka born in Adachi-ku, Tokyo, Japan, most famous for his manga Hellsing.
Starting his career first as a mangaka's assistant (self-described as "horrible" and "lazy" in said assistant position), and later an H manga artist, he went on to enjoy somewhat limited success with other relatively unknown manga titles such as Angel Dust, Coyote, Gun Mania and Hi-Tension. His first major success came with his manga series Hellsing, which got its start and was subsequently serialized in a monthly manga magazine, Young King OURs, towards the latter half of 1997.
However, Hellsing was not the earliest Hirano series to be published in Young King OURs monthly. In 1996, the very same year Hellsing's precursor, The Legends of Vampire Hunter, was first released as a single hentai short story in Heavenly Pleasure (a monthly hentaicentric manga magazine), another WWII-based short story named Hi-And-Low was being published in Young King OURs by a then lesser-known Kouta Hirano. The story takes place primarily at a train station in Russia and features two female characters that are strikingly similar to Heinkel and Yumiko/Yumie in Crossfire; and who are, in actuality, undercover Axis spies in-league with one another for a common purpose: the success of Operation Barbarossa. However, this story only saw ink in one issue of OURs before being discontinued in favor of Hellsing itself.
A decent number of Hirano's older works are now considered collector's items due to the small number of them that exist. Many characters from Hellsing appear in his previous works and, as mentioned above, there is a rare hentai prototype of Hellsing titled The Legends of (the) Vampire Hunter. At Otakon 2006, he said in an interview that in about a year and a half to two years, he will finish Hellsing and move on to a different project which he says will be kept a secret until the time comes.

Which one of this is your favorite? Why?
I like Pip Bernadotte a lot, he is THE guy!
Kouta Hirano biography was taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kouta_Hirano
I REALLY suggest you to read Hellsing manga, or watch the TV series (13 episodes). It is one of the best manga I ever read.
Ps: Thank you for the Tip Kyrose! |

| I voted for alucard seeing that it's the same name of the guy in castlevania. Bit of advice, when creating threads for multiple discussions, try gathering data(informations) and articles that will inform the reader about it and may have a clue on what it is about. That way, threads wont go out of place. :no1: |
